MANFARI — [aka MAN–SAFARI]: “An expedition of women (or men), assembled for the purpose of flirtation with members of the opposite (or same) gender. Like most expeditionary forces, the Manfari is heavily outfitted, frequently armed and can be found in locations far outside its members' normal sphere, such as the local watering hole … or rather the local sports bar.”
MANFARI is an original comedy IP encompassing a feature screenplay and an unscripted vertical series— created, written, and produced by Solange.
The vertical show follows two women who delete their dating apps and embark on a live manhunt to secure viable mates, narrated like a David Attenborough nature documentary.
Through run-and-gun, woman-on-the-street interviews, the show satirically “researches” the state of modern dating culture.
The feature screenplay advanced to the Second Round of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
